Released as part of The Master’s Anthology series from The Glendronach, this decadent single malt spent its time maturing in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. The vibrant amber hue is all-natural, and with a higher strength of 50.8% ABV, it’s a rich and complex sipper, packed with generous layers of chocolate, coffee, raisins, caramel, and ganache.
Tasting Notes
Nose
Dark chocolate coated cherries and coffee beans, caramelised brown sugar, creamy vanilla custard, sherry soaked sultanas, and candied ginger.
Palate
Rich layers of dark stewed fruits, coffee, and chocolate raisins join burnt custard, plums, and dark cherries.
Finish
Ginger snaps, mocha, baking spices, and chocolate truffles.
